Beast Taming: Starting From Zero - Chapter 50
Chapter 50: Remarks on the Release
I want to talk about.
First of all, I want to introduce myself to everyone. I am a lazy person and a severe procrastinator.
The reason I wrote this article was that I recently fell in love with beastman stories, and I wanted to find a female-oriented beastman story to read, but there were too few and most of the backgrounds were relatively old, so I decided to write one myself.
I am also a person who has read Pokémon from the Kanto region to the Kalos region, so it should be no problem to write some overviews of beastmanship…
Although I know that there are few people reading female-oriented stories, I still decided to write it in female-oriented stories with women as the protagonists.
After all, I am a girl…
As a newcomer, I wrote two chapters and posted them. I didn’t have any manuscripts saved. It was purely a whim. Then when I wrote more than 10,000 words, I was signed. I was still very happy at the time…
Later, I found that it didn’t make much difference whether I signed or not, and no one read it. After all, it was a female-oriented story, and I had prepared for it, so I let myself go and updated it every two days…
After letting it go for half a month, it was tested and pushed. The editor found me and only asked me not to stop updating during the test push. Of course, I agreed to it for the first time.
Although I didn’t know why I first published it on Qidian to test the waters and promote it on QQ Reading…
but my first monthly ticket and the first long comment were given to me by readers on QQ Reading, I was still very excited, and I impulsively promised that I would not stop updating or quit…
After thinking about it, I felt that it was possible for someone as lazy as me to stop updating occasionally…
As a lazy person, I don’t have many drafts saved. I only start writing when it’s late every day, and then I play with my phone and eat after writing for a while…
Afterwards, after I passed the recommendation PK and had the next round of recommendations, I still couldn’t stop updating.
But at that time, there were readers who would comment and give me votes and rewards. I felt that someone was reading my book, so I was more motivated to write, so I could often finish updating after 6 o’clock in the evening during that period.
In fact, I thought about taking a day off many times during that period…
because I felt that the most comfortable state was to update once every two days…
but because people voted and commented on me every day, I persisted.
At first, I would leave a message below when everyone commented, but now I won’t, because I’m afraid of being urged to update…
Although there are not many readers in the female-oriented books, for me, from the initial single-player to the current daily comments, it’s good enough.
Regarding the release date, the editor came to me two days ago and told me that it will be on May 23rd…
I feel like it’s too fast. I don’t have any saved drafts, and I’ll have to update a lot after it’s released…
I’ve been procrastinating until the 22nd and I haven’t started saving any drafts yet.
But don’t panic, I decided to drink coffee and code at night so I can update more every day…
Also…
Most new authors write two chapters a day
after it’s released because they get a full attendance bonus. But I stopped updating five times between signing the contract and the release, and I saved up the time when I updated once every two days before I was recommended. So even if I updated two chapters a day after the release, I won’t get a full attendance bonus.
I only found out about
this later… I was sad but also a little happy. I felt like I had found an excuse not to update twice a day…
I know the number of readers will drop sharply after the release, but it doesn’t matter, I won’t quit!
If the results are good, I will work hard to save some drafts and update more.
If the results are not good, I will also update steadily and won’t quit. Although I update less, it’s also the intention of a lazy person!
I really want to write down my thanks to the readers who have been seeing me every day, but it seems not appropriate to put it in the remarks for the book’s launch, so I will thank everyone next time…
Here I will answer the question that everyone may be more concerned about, whether there is a male protagonist.
I like to read romances with deep love and tragic love…
If I were to write one, I am afraid that I would not be able to help but make up a bloody and abusive love story for them, which does not match the style of my book, so I probably won’t write a male protagonist.
Finally, I still ask for the first order, after all, the article posted on the 23rd was written by me drinking coffee…
Well, that’s it.
Remarks for the book’s launch, perfect…
