Diary of a Dead Wizard - Chapter 103
Chapter 103 Your dream is so scary
“Why are you so nervous? I just thought Penny was bored and wanted to take her out for a walk.”
“Nonsense! If I hadn’t come back early, Penny would have been kidnapped by you!”
Ada was getting more and more scared and rushed forward with his fist raised.
Jayce got up from the ground and dodged twice. The third time, he grabbed Ada’s fist.
“Okay, okay, if you hit me again, I will fight back.” Jayce’s tone was more exaggerated. Suddenly, he saw a thin finger sticking out from the window, and the disdain on his face was reduced.
“You can’t hide Penny forever.” Jayce adjusted his collar and pushed Ada back with one hand.
Ada took a few steps back and his back hit the door with a clang.
He was so angry that his whole body was shaking, his hands were clenched tightly, and his knuckles were white.
Jayce ignored Ada again. He knew that the latter didn’t dare to really fight with him.
Because Ada couldn’t beat him at all.
This time, when he passed by Thor, he turned his head and showed a provocative smile.
“Hey, found a job?”
Thor didn’t say anything. Jayce pointed his thumb behind him, “You can let Ada support you. Anyway, his brain is not working well.”
After Jayce left, Thor approached Ada, “Are you okay?”
“No problem!” Ada replied stiffly.
He lowered his head and stood there for a while before going to the yard to clean up the mess.
Thor didn’t go to help, but went into the room to see Penny.
Penny rarely stood on the ground, her face was a little at a loss, and her silver starry eyes lost their spirit.
“Brother Thor,” she heard Thor approaching and called out his name accurately again, “Why can’t I go out?”
“Outside…” Thor smacked his lips, “It’s quite messy.”
“Oh.” Penny’s voice was a little low.
She walked back to the bed, touched the closet door, and got in.
After Ada finished cleaning up outside, he walked back to the room.
He saw that Penny was not there and the closet door was closed, so he walked over and whispered something.
Then Ada came to Thor.
“You, you stay here for another three days, then go. I remember there are jobs that provide accommodation in the town, but they are a bit tiring. If you really can’t stand it, go somewhere else.”
Perhaps Thor’s “idleness” and “indifferent observation” in the past two days finally triggered Ada’s bottom line, and he opened his mouth to specify a deadline for Thor to stay overnight.
“Okay.” Thor nodded, ran to the table, and lay down with his back to Ada.
The room was very quiet, with only Ada’s long sigh.
At night, Thor took a rare nap.
This time, he clearly knew that he was dreaming.
In the dream, he returned to the morgue and lay on the conveyor belt.
Hundreds of corpses that he had handled stood around him.
A corpse with a head split in half, holding a machete in his hand, was aiming at Thor’s skull.
A piece of meat that was torn into pieces but stacked together like building blocks, was supported by a hammer and was about to fall.
“Thor.”
Someone called him.
Thor pushed away the corpses that tried to cut him into pieces and sat up from the transport platform.
The densely packed corpses fell down like dominoes.
Outside the corpses stood Gorza, who was wearing pink bandages.
Even though he knew he was in a dream, Thor was very respectful to the tower master.
“Tower master.”
Gorza raised his hands with an extremely weird movement, starting from the beginning, and removed his bandages bit by bit.
And under the bandages…
there was nothing.
Thor slowly opened his mouth, surprised at his guess about the identity of the tower master in his dream.
Could this be the subconscious?
The bandages were removed to the eyes, and two silver eyeballs fell to the ground.
Gorza’s mouth was still talking.
“Thor, do you know why I asked you to study the soul?”
The bandages around Gorza suddenly lost their support and fell to the ground, but his voice continued.
“Do you think that only the soul can be considered alive?”
The corpses surrounded him again, and those with mouths and those without mouths were making sounds.
“Can you live like this with only the soul?”
“Brother Sol! Brother Sol!” The girl’s voice with a crying tone sounded.
“What’s wrong, Penny?” Sol turned over and sat up.
Penny’s expression could not be seen in the darkness, but her hand holding Sol’s collar was shaking slightly.
“Brother Sol, don’t sleep.”
“Your dream is so scary.”
Was Penny also in his dream just now?
Sol had no feeling at all.
He rubbed his somewhat groggy forehead, patted Penny’s hand gently, and whispered: “Okay, Brother Sol won’t sleep anymore. Penny is not afraid, dreams are all fake, go back to sleep.”
While Penny was in a trance, Sol cast a spell to repair minor injuries and increase resistance on her.
These are the only two witchcrafts that he has mastered that are beneficial to the human body.
There was no way. If Penny was always immersed in Sol’s dream, going crazy would be her best outcome.
After Sol’s comfort, Penny was obviously much more relaxed.
She climbed back to the closet and went to sleep with brisk steps.
But Sol couldn’t sleep.
In the two years in the wizard tower, he almost never had meaningless dreams.
So why did he have such a dream here, in Mofan Town?
Sol thought about it, half-closed his eyes and spent the night relying on meditation.
But this night was a sleepless night for many people.
In the northern suburbs of Mofan Town, a loud noise was heard from the tower standing next to the Mosheng fruit field.
The soldiers guarding the Mosheng fruit lowered their heads and dared not look over there.
In the dilapidated tower, a middle-aged man with no hair on his body, without a piece of clothing, stood in a witchcraft circle in the top room.
Outside the circle was the female corpse that he had just thrown out.
The girl who was taken away in the morning, now had her limbs cut off, and fell in the corner of the room.
Her eyes were wide open, bloodshot at the corners of her eyes, and she died with her eyes open.
The first-level apprentice stood in the magic circle, the corners of his mouth twitching constantly, and his expression was very terrifying.
His chest rose and fell violently, and after half an hour, he slowly walked out of the magic circle, came to the shelf outside, took down the black robe and put it on.
“Rupert.” He lowered his voice very low, and there was still cold anger in his voice.
The voice was not loud, but it reached the ears of the designated person.
The mayor of Mofan Town, who had been waiting outside the tower, took a deep breath, and then pushed the door open with trembling hands, and walked quickly to the third floor along the stairs that spiraled around the wall.
“Lord Shelly.” As soon as Mayor Rupert entered the door, he saw the female corpse opposite. The skin on his face twitched, and he quickly restrained his complicated emotions and saluted the first-level apprentice Shelly.
“I failed to be promoted this time.” A hint of unwillingness could be heard in Shelly’s voice, “But now I am only a little bit away from becoming a Level 2 apprentice. You should find another suitable girl and send her to me right away!”
“This? We need another girl?” Rupert was a little embarrassed. “We have taken away many girls recently, and the people in the town have begun to feel uneasy. Will Lord Yuka be suspicious when he comes back?”
Shelly stared at Rupert coldly, making him swallow the rest of his words.
“When I am promoted to Level 2, do I still have to worry about what he thinks?”
“Yes, yes…” A trace of cold sweat slid across Rupert’s forehead.
“By the way, bring me two… no, bring me five Grinding Sound Fruits.”
Rupert was startled again. Although he had just been warned, he had to remind them in a low voice, “But those barbarians will be here in two days. Next month, the adults from the Wizard Tower will come to get the Grinding Sound Fruits… We don’t have many left.”
Shelly still didn’t take it seriously, “No, Yuka will be back the day after tomorrow. If he finds out what we are doing, he will definitely stop us. Now I’m just a little bit away from level two, and I must complete the promotion before the day after tomorrow.”
He waved his hand again, and his tone softened a little, “When I reach level two, I will have the confidence to confront those barbarians. Didn’t we choose to do this in order to get rid of the endless plundering of the barbarians?”
After hearing what Shelly said, Rupert’s eyes became firm.
“Okay, I’ll send someone to get the grinding fruit.”
The mayor sent a message and came back with a sigh: “The wizard tower accepted our tribute, but refused to help us completely eliminate the barbarians, so we had to do business with them secretly.”
Rupert said this, looked at Shelly carefully, and lowered his voice again.
“But I can’t figure out why these barbarians don’t want meat, so what do they want the grinding fruit for?”
