Diary of a Dead Wizard - Chapter 12
Chapter 12 Blue Stone
Monica on the stage didn’t care if her actions scared the children around her. She stretched out her index finger and picked up the crystal ball easily like picking up candy.
“Meditation. Through mental immersion, you can sense the elements around you, pull the elements into your body, and merge them with your own magic. This is the most stable way to increase your magic.”
The crystal ball rotated slightly at Monica’s fingertips, and bright white arcs flashed from time to time.
“Meditation can also stabilize your mental state. If one day you realize that you are about to go insane, you can try to use meditation to maintain a certain degree of sobriety.”
Monica raised her red lips and smiled slightly, as if she thought of something interesting.
“Of course, if the cause of the disorder cannot be solved, the madness will still go insane.”
Then Monica began to instruct the new apprentices on how to enter meditation.
She asked everyone to choose a picture that they like best or least dizzy from the meditation album in front of them, and observe it through the crystal ball in front of them.
Thor endured the discomfort and quickly flipped through the album in his hand.
He felt dizzy when he looked at each picture, and finally he could only choose a picture that made him feel less uncomfortable and nauseous.
It was a picture of multiple people walking in a circle.
The highest point of the picture was a normal adult man, and on his left was a portrait of an almost identical man, but if you look closely, the movements of the two people were different.
The second person slightly bent his knees and raised his hands.
The third person looked similar, but he could already see his hands stretched out on both sides of his body, and his heels were slightly raised while bending his knees.
In this way, the movements of each person were different, and like the original animation picture, they finally formed a walking movement change picture.
This reminded Sol of the principle of making animations.
He followed the densely packed figures and looked down one by one, but when he saw the upside-down figure at the bottom of the pattern, he suddenly realized that the person’s appearance had changed into an octopus monster without knowing when!
This change was not sudden.
When Sol looked back, he didn’t feel that there was any difference between each picture and the next one, but the figure pattern at the bottom was indeed an octopus picture.
A person walked and turned into a monster, but in the middle, he didn’t notice anything wrong.
It was as if humans were originally octopus monsters!
Thor endured the dizziness and continued to look up counterclockwise. This time, he not only paid attention to the changes in the characters’ movements, but also paid attention to the differences in each picture.
It seemed to have changed, but it
also seemed not to have changed. When he looked back at the top picture, the monster had turned into a human again.
Thor finally couldn’t hold on any longer, and he suddenly covered his eyes with his hands and fell backwards.
However, before he fell to the ground, a pair of hands suddenly supported his back and helped him up.
There was laughter around him.
Thor’s eyes were full of tears and he couldn’t see clearly. He thought it was Keli who supported him, and only whispered “thank you”.
“There’s nothing funny about this. He fell to the ground because he had watched the whole picture, unlike you, who retreated when you felt dizzy!”
The voice sounded, and Thor realized that it was actually Teacher Monica who supported him.
At this time, his eyes were no longer so painful, and he opened them with difficulty, vaguely seeing the woman next to him.
Monica looked at the tearful little boy and couldn’t help but smile. Looking down at the pattern chosen by Thor, a flash of surprise flashed across her eyes.
But she quickly regained her composure.
“Exploration is brave, but you must be moderate. You have good mental strength. Try to immerse yourself in it through the crystal ball.”
“Thank you, mentor.”
It seems that Thor got started quickly. Monica actually used him as an example to guide other newcomers.
This made many newcomers and old people envious.
Thor did not disappoint and immersed himself directly on the first try.
Entering the state of meditation and immersion, and then observing through the crystal ball, the picture of the walking monster will not make people dizzy.
The images of people and monsters floated up from the paper and reflected in Thor’s mind.
Soon, everything around became blurred, and the sound seemed to come from the distant sky.
Everything dimmed, and soon it became bright again.
What re-lit Thor’s world was a colorful little ball of light.
Under the guidance of Monica, Thor immediately pulled the small ball of light closest to him, leading it to melt into his forehead little by little.
It went very smoothly. The first element particle followed Thor into his body and merged into a bubble-like existence in his mind.
Thor was extremely excited and immediately started the next traction.
He did not notice that the teacher Monica beside him suddenly frowned.
She left Thor and walked around the classroom, asking other new apprentices to try meditation like Thor.
Not all new apprentices can immerse themselves directly like Thor. Many people have not even found a suitable meditation chart.
“Take your crystal ball with you. It can help you isolate dangerous things and keep your meditation stable. Before you enter the second level, I do not recommend you to meditate directly without the crystal ball.”
Monica returned to the front and patiently talked about the key points of meditation, but she did not personally guide others like she did to Thor.
This made some people feel indignant. How could a wizard apprentice who cheated successfully deserve the most attention from the teacher?
But no one dared to really express dissatisfaction.
The first meditation class passed quickly, and Thor did not come back to his senses until everyone left.
Keli wanted to wake Thor up, but was interrupted by Monica.
Keli looked at Monica in confusion, only to see the latter showing an inexplicable smile.
“You go out, I have something to talk to him alone.”
Keli immediately looked at Monica with a suspicious look.
Being looked at by a red-haired little girl like this, Monica’s face immediately sank, but before she could get angry, Keli ran away. She
didn’t forget to close the door.
Monica then walked back to Thor and snapped her fingers.
A series of electric sparks immediately hit Thor’s forehead.
Thor was startled back to his senses by this sudden stimulation, and when he opened his eyes, he saw Monica’s long legs standing in front of him.
“Teacher Monica!” He looked up and looked around, only to find that there was no one around.
“Sorry, Teacher Monica, I’ll leave right away.”
Thor apologized repeatedly and began to pack his things.
“Elemental perception, this is something I will talk about in the next class.” Monica opened her red lips slightly, but her voice was cold, “Elemental perception is actually a characteristic of mental power. Just like everyone looks different, everyone’s elemental perception is not exactly the same.”
“It represents your sensitivity to elemental ions with specific properties. For example, take a piece of paper that has the three color attributes of red, yellow and green, and then throw a handful of red, yellow, green and blue stones on it. What color do you think you can see?”
Thor didn’t quite understand, “You mean, a piece of paper with red, yellow and green colors?”
“Can you figure it out? It’s about having three color attributes at the same time, not being painted with three colors.”
Thor seemed to understand what Monica meant.
“If a piece of paper is red, yellow and green… then the first thing I see is the blue stone.”
Monica nodded, “I’m glad you understand. The body is like that piece of paper. The color attribute makes us insensitive to other elements. The color you can see the most is the element you perceive the most. The strength of your mental power will also affect the number of elements we perceive.”
After that, she picked up the little monster eating human skin on the ground and twisted her waist to leave the classroom.
Sol was left with a confused look on his face.
“Teacher Monica, why did you suddenly tell me this?”
Sol picked up the book and the crystal ball, unable to figure it out.
He walked for a long time in the small classroom, moving forward slowly step by step, just like his stagnant thoughts at this time.
“I can only see blue… I can only see blue…”
When Sol’s hand pressed on the door handle of the classroom, he suddenly raised his head.
“I, I didn’t seem to see many dark element particles when I was meditating just now!”
The muscles on his face kept twitching, and the boy’s face twisted a little bit.
“I, I… The element I perceive the most… is not the dark element!”
Thanks to stellr for the reward, the first reward for this book, full of motivation!
