Diary of a Dead Wizard - Chapter 147
Chapter 147 He is Melting
“Why hasn’t Thor woken up yet?” Wright squatted beside Thor and anxiously asked Byron.
Just now, the formation suddenly failed and the inductance meter stopped working.
Nick could only take the wire off Thor.
Byron looked at the busy Nick again.
While sorting out the inductance meter, Nick said: “The final measurement data shows that there is only one emotional body left in Thor’s body, and it is very calm. It must not be Morton who survived.”
Byron turned to Wright again, “Yeah.”
Wright: You don’t have enough language balance today, right?
Wright sighed and rubbed his hands, “In the end, I didn’t help much. Do you think Thor will complain to the tower master when he wakes up? Will I die on the night I go back?”
“Well…” Byron hesitated whether to speak.
“No!!!” Wright obviously misunderstood Byron’s meaning, and lowered his head to explain to the unconscious Thor, “Thor! Ah! Ah! Ah!”
He suddenly began to make strange noises.
Byron and Nick were startled by his shouting and hurriedly looked in the direction of Wright’s sight.
Wright finally shouted, “Thor, he’s melting!!!”
Thor’s hands, hanging down beside him, began to melt like a burning candle at some point, and slowly slid to both sides with the bones as the center.
Not only that, when Byron nervously rolled up Thor’s sleeves, everyone found that even his normal arms began to deform.
The skin was loose and sagging, as if he had aged a hundred years in an instant.
Not only that, such aged skin was still spreading to his torso.
If it continued, would it spread all over his body?
“How could this happen?” Nick frowned and looked solemn.
Byron looked at the inductor beside him and suddenly thought of something.
Before Byron could speak, the ground suddenly trembled and a strong wind blew from behind.
The three of them turned back at the same time and found that the soul storm that could have lasted for a few days had begun to collapse at some point.
Countless white fragments began to fade, and the rotating wind speed became lower and lower.
But what followed was the trembling of the cracks and the rolling of the boulders above their heads.
“It must be our formation that accelerated the dissipation of the storm. Now the cave is about to collapse. We must leave here.” Nick hugged his inductor tightly and said quickly.
“But Thor is in this state. Will he become a skeleton when we run out?” Wright asked quickly because his life was at stake.
Hearing this, Byron suddenly reached out and took out a bag from his mouth.
It was the bag that Thor had put his spoils in before.
Byron shook it lightly, and the bag immediately turned into a large bag of one meter square.
Byron propped up the bag and pointed at Thor with his chin, “Hmm!”
This time Wright magically understood what Byron meant. He picked up Thor carefully and quickly, and stuffed the skin on his hand into his pocket before it fell to the ground.
Byron did not tie the bag tightly, but threw it back and carried it on his shoulder.
The three of them ran all the way.
The tremor at the crack did not affect the ground. The higher they ran, the weaker the aftershocks.
Finally, they finally returned to the entrance of the cave.
Wright reminded the two, “There are a lot of human-headed monsters outside. Be careful when you go out. You must find a weak point and break through. If you are trapped, you will be finished.”
“The human-headed monsters have poor eyesight. Why don’t we wait until dark before going out?” Nick suggested cautiously.
There is no one who is not afraid of human-headed monsters all over the mountains.
Byron handed the bag in his hand to Nick, and stepped forward, observing the outside world secretly.
However, he soon walked back with a look of surprise.
“Hmm~” He shook his head gently.
“Gone?” Wright asked in disbelief. He rushed to the place where Byron had just stood, and his head poked out of the cave little by little, then his upper body, and finally he stepped out in one step.
The sun was behind him, and the huge shadow formed by the mountain almost covered the entire Chuishhou Valley.
There was silence all around.
The cruelty and enthusiasm that was just like the Colosseum were all gone.
“It’s really gone.”
Byron and Nick followed him out.
They stood at the exit of the cave on the cliff, feeling complicated for a moment.
Especially Wright, he didn’t expect that after the evil spirit disappeared, the human-headed monster also left automatically.
Could it be that the human-headed monster actually existed by relying on the evil spirit?
Suddenly, something moved in the shadows.
“Who?” Wright asked sternly.
A few people trembled and walked out from the lower part of the cave where the three were.
Wright looked down and found that they were apprentices of the land boat, and they looked familiar. They were the unlucky guys who were just chased by the evil spirit.
“Is it you?” One of them recognized Wright and knew that he was a third-level apprentice.
And there were no third-level apprentices among the survivors of the land boat.
The situation reversed, and the people on the ground immediately admitted their defeat.
“My lord.”
“Where is the human-headed monster? Are you the only ones left here?” Wright asked condescendingly with a cold tone.
The few people looked at each other, and one of them stepped forward to answer.
“Sir, after you entered the underground, the human-headed monsters began to kill people wantonly. Most of our companions were bitten to death. But I don’t know what happened. Just now, all the human-headed monsters screamed in fear and then disappeared. We were afraid of any danger, so we hid where we were and didn’t dare to move.”
He seemed to be answering the question respectfully, but Byron noticed that when they looked at each other, one of them had a strange look in his eyes.
“Sir, that evil spirit…how is Lord Morton?” Another person stepped forward and asked tremblingly.
When the apprentice stepped forward, his body directly blocked most of the apprentice with strange eyes.
“They are sending signals to the outside world!” Byron immediately realized that these guys were not honest.
“I feel something huge is approaching.” Wright suddenly squatted down and pressed one hand on the ground. “With this vibration, it will arrive in half an hour. It’s not a good thing. We must leave immediately.”
“Hurry up and go back to the tower.”
Byron nodded, and the three of them immediately jumped down the cave and landed on the ground.
Seeing that Byron and the other two were about to run, one of the people on the land boat couldn’t help but step forward to stop them.
However, at this moment, the bag Nick was holding suddenly struggled violently.
Thinking of who was in the pocket, Nick quickly put the bag on the ground.
In order to allow air to flow, the bag was not tied tightly. As soon as Nick let go, the bag mouth was immediately stretched open.
A thin boy broke free from the pocket.
“Wow!”
Seeing the person standing up from the pocket, the apprentice who had originally walked forward immediately retreated in fear. Because he was too scared, he staggered to the ground after taking two steps back and could only crawl back with his limbs.
The others were also trembling.
They wanted to run, but their feet were stuck to the ground and would not obey.
Not falling to the ground like the first person was their last stubbornness.
The boy who stood up from the pocket covered his head with his hands, looking a little painful.
His hands were all white bones, which made people wonder how much flesh and blood could be left on his thin body under his clothes.
“Thor?” Byron noticed that although Thor’s expression was painful, his eyes were clear, and his skin seemed to have recovered and was no longer old.
Thor put down his hands and looked over. “Senior?”
Looking around, he found that he had left the underground. He
looked down again, but was shocked to see that his hands had turned back into bones.
In the pockets under his feet, there were two sticky things and one of his anti-electric shock gloves.
“What’s going on?”
I woke up and my hands were gone?
Wow, why am I typing so slowly?
