Chapter 161 Riddler

It took Thor nearly ten hours to find all the materials. And it took almost the same amount of time to transfer everything to the cart safely.

In other words, when Thor finished packing, it was already early morning on the 30th.

Thor pounded his arm that was sore from carrying things up and down, and put the cart aside first.

It was not yet six o’clock in the morning, and it was not safe to go out in the East Tower. He would wait until the candlelight turned white again before going out.

While there was still some time, Thor carried a lamp lighter, walked through the layers of shelves, and came to the back of the corpse group.

He had not checked the number of candles today. The number of

burning candles should not be less than eighty-one, and to ensure safety, it is best to have more than one hundred.

“One, two, three…”

Thor walked along the wall surrounding the corpse group, counting the number of lights one by one.

“Chi…”

Thor just counted to the tenth candle, and watched it go out by itself.

Without saying a word, he raised the lamp lighter high, and the blue flame approached the candle wick to relight the lamp.

The candle was ignited by the flame at the port of the lighter and immediately lit up again.

But just as Sol put down the lighter, the candlestick went out with a “chi”.

Light it again, it went out again, light it again, it went out again.

Sol put down the lighter with a gloomy face, looked around, and confirmed that the number of candlesticks that were lit was definitely more than 80. Then he rolled up his sleeves and continued to raise the lighter.

He half-closed his eyes and visualized the erosion diagram. Through the gap between his eyelids, he stared closely at the naughty candlestick.

This time, when he re-lit the candle, a translucent pale lip appeared out of thin air, and then pouted at the candle…

Sol immediately turned the lighter so that the flame at the port overlapped with the mouth.

“Wulala wala jili gulu…”

He vaguely heard a few wailing sounds. Although he couldn’t understand them, he felt that they were curses.

So Sol chased and burned the mouth with the lighter without hesitation.

The translucent lips burst into white flames, which scared it so much that it turned its mouth and flew away.

Thor would not let it go easily. He held up the lamp lighter and chased after it relentlessly.

One ran away, the other chased.

Thor followed the mouth and ran into the group of corpses, watching it land on one of the corpses.

Thor stopped and looked at the diary on his left shoulder carefully before picking up the lamp lighter and approaching the corpse.

“You were the one who made trouble just now?” Thor raised the lamp lighter and shook it in front of the corpse.

The corpse closed its eyes tightly and behaved like an ordinary corpse.

But after seeing the troublesome mouth just now and the experience of seeing himself when he possessed these corpses, Thor seriously suspected that these corpses were not unconscious.

They can see the outside world, have memories… and make trouble!

Is it to keep the candlelight in Chuishou Valley bright just to prevent these corpses?

Thor raised the lamp lighter. This time he did not light it, but just used the still hot end to press against the mouth of the corpse.

“If you make trouble again, I will burn your real mouth.”

After threatening fiercely, Thor walked back to the candlelight.

This time the candles did not go out again, and there were no more candles that could not be lit.

Sol counted along the wall, and there were a total of 108 lights on, and a few of them would not light up even with the lighter.

Maybe they were broken.

After checking the candles, Sol turned around and observed the corpses standing in the warehouse.

Because of his experience working in the morgue, Sol was not afraid of corpses and flesh, but when he was here, Sol always felt something was strange. He

always felt that when he was not paying attention, these corpses would move, change positions, watch and even talk about him.

It was really uncomfortable to have eyes always focusing on his back even though he had not found anything.

When Sol was tidying up the warehouse, he also deliberately noted the location of each corpse, but he never saw them move during the subsequent inspection.

But he had experienced the experience of being possessed by corpses inexplicably, and he understood that even if these corpses did not move, they were definitely not truly normal.

It was just that these corpses were all important items with numbers in the warehouse, and Sol could not dissect one for research.

But Thor was not really helpless against them. When his research on the soul became more in-depth, he would one day ask his mentor to borrow a corpse for research.

Letting these guys go for the time being, Thor continued to sort out the things in the warehouse.

As a new warehouse manager, he planned to make an item search table, sorted by characters, so that he would not waste time looking for things in future tasks.

This was also a big project.

He was busy until 6 o’clock, when the East Tower was released. Only then did Sol put down the semi-finished product in his hand and pushed the cart out of the warehouse.

Passing the fork in the road and the room full of boxes, he quickly came to the double bronze metal door at the outermost.

Sol pulled the cart backwards and pushed open the door on the right with one hand. After confirming that the door on the left did not move, he walked out.

Outside the door was a thick darkness that was about to condense into substance. The candles on the wall shrank into a group of white halos, and it was impossible to move.

Passing through the dark corridor, he went up to the second floor of the East Tower without knowing it.

Sol walked to the outermost, and saw Chrom tiptoeing into the third morgue.

The other party did not see Sol, and his face was as excited as a child eating candy.

“He really likes the work in the morgue!” Sol shook his head and sighed as he walked.

Thor thought that he was different from Colum, who was obsessed with corpses. He simply enjoyed the pleasure of successful experiments.

Because of his bloated body and inconvenience in moving, Teacher Rum was probably the only person in the tower who hardly went out.

In the past two years, Thor had also met Rum several times, and each time he mainly reported the results of the experiment.

Teacher Rum did not persuade Thor to study under him again. It was not known whether he had given up or was secretly stopped by Teacher Kaz.

Thor secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

He knocked on the door, but no one answered, but the folding door automatically made a small gap.

It was called a small gap, but it was enough to accommodate Thor and the cart.

Walking into the room and pushing open the heavy curtain with one hand, Thor once again saw the sunlight and the corner that became darker under the sunlight.

Teacher Rum was sitting in this darkest corner.

“Teacher Rum, these are the materials prepared for you.” Thor stepped forward and said respectfully.

After about ten seconds, the motionless Rum whispered, “Put it on the table.”

Thor moved everything to the table, bowed to Rum, and prepared to leave.

“Sniff…”

Rum, who was originally like a silent meat mountain, suddenly sniffed at Thor.

“Where did the doll on you come from?”

Doll? Thor hesitated.

His relationship with Master Gorza has always been a secret. Except for Instructor Kaz, no one else knew.

But this time when he returned to the tower, Gorza took Thor away in full view of everyone. Not only were there Byron and a few others at the scene, but also five captives from the land boat.

It seems that the tower master no longer wants to keep it secret. When he gave him the red-eyed doll, he didn’t warn him not to tell outsiders.

What made him change his mind?

These thoughts flashed through Thor’s mind quickly, and Thor didn’t hide it, “It was given to me by the tower master.”

“Well…” Rum squinted his eyes and looked at Thor, as if he knew him for the first time.

Thor could only lower his head and let him look at him.

After not seeing him for a few months, Instructor Rum has gained weight again.

His height did not change, but the fat on his body increased, piling up into a mountain, and gradually began to devour his still normal head.

Teacher Rum just sat there, and Thor, who was standing beside him, felt cold and uneasy.

It was like an active volcano that could erupt at any time.

“Have you… decided to major in dark elements? You should understand that your talent is actually more suitable for studying areas related to spirits and mental power.”

Teacher Rum spoke again, and it was a topic he had not mentioned for a long time.

This time Thor did not hesitate, “Yes, Teacher Rum, I have made up my mind.”

“Is this your own choice? Did anyone force you?”

Thor was surprised when he did not expect Rum to ask so bluntly and abruptly, but he still nodded to show his attitude.

“Hehe.” Rum chuckled, “Majoring in dark attributes is not bad, maybe this is destined.”

Thor did not understand what the teacher meant. These strong men were all riddlers.

When he is promoted to a formal wizard, he will definitely let these people guess what he meant!
