Diary of a Dead Wizard - Chapter 41
Chapter 41 The Price of Realizing a Dream
That was an evil sacrifice of the barbarians.
With the blessing of evil power, the wounds of the dead who were split in half were covered with mud.
No blood was shed, only half of the desperate faces.
Half of them were looking at the bonfire, and the other half was looking at the deep night.
Brown was covered by his sister’s mouth, and the two of them lay in the mud together.
Their faces were covered with thick mud, leaving only two air holes and a little gap to observe the outside world.
They didn’t even dare to shed tears, for fear of breaking through the mud on their faces and being discovered.
That was Brown’s eternal nightmare.
He never thought that he would see such a scene again one day.
It has been several years.
I thought I had forgotten everything.
Brown trembled and held his head, covered his ears, and closed his eyes.
He didn’t dare to see if the limbs connected to the opposing feet were chopped into half.
His right hand was still holding the black rope connected to the small incense beads, hoping that the small incense beads could exert their power to drive away the horrible memories as soon as possible.
“Brown.”
Suddenly a familiar voice sounded in his ear.
“It’s okay, brother.”
Brown’s trembling stopped and he slowly raised his head.
“Sister…sister…”
The country girl, who didn’t look cute, showed a simple smile to her brother.
Looking at her brother’s pale face, she was still comforting him softly.
“It’s okay, brother, they are all gone.”
“Giggle…”
Brown’s teeth began to tremble, and his lips lost their blood color, turning pale like a dead person.
“Sister…”
The country girl showed some doubts, took another step forward, and stretched out her muddy hand to her brother.
“Brother, what are you afraid of?”
Brown sat on the ground with his buttocks. He wanted to retreat, but his limbs were stiff and he couldn’t move even half an inch.
How could he not be afraid?
His sister didn’t survive the disaster.
No, his sister didn’t die in the disaster.
She died at the hands of his own brother.
…
The siblings hiding in the mud did not escape the sharp sense of smell of the barbarians. However, before they were discovered, a group of wizard apprentices appeared and interrupted the upcoming killing.
They drove from a distance.
When the barbarians saw them from afar, they became a mess and hurried away, not even taking away all the food for sacrifice.
Fortunately, these guys did not escape the punishment.
A wizard apprentice suddenly flew up and chased them.
After thunder and lightning, Brown saw that the barbarians who were just arrogant, grinning hideously and unable to resist turned into piles of black charcoal.
Brown’s eyes widened, and even though the mud and water flowed into his eyes and it hurt so much, he was reluctant to close them.
He endured the pain and watched the apprentice fly back to the carriage and slowly walk to him and his sister.
Brown and his sister climbed out of the mud and knelt in front of the wizard to thank the adult for saving their lives.
But in addition to being grateful, Brown also had a new and irrepressible thought in his heart.
The turning point of fate has arrived.
If he could follow the person in front of him, would he have the possibility of becoming a wizard?
Brown seemed to see himself flying in the sky, and he easily killed his enemy.
Becoming a wizard, this is the life he deserves!
However, Brown’s dream did not last long, and was cruelly broken.
Under the pleading of his sister, the wizard agreed to take them back.
But he only agreed to take one person away.
The other person would be left here.
The reason was that their carriage could only squeeze in one more person.
Brown couldn’t understand.
They clearly had two carriages, one for a dozen children, and the other, which was more spacious, only had two wizards.
The carriage that could squeeze one person in was the small carriage that already had a dozen children.
The wizard’s carriage was not allowed to allow others to ride.
That was a blasphemy.
The wizard who had released lightning turned his head and asked his companion, “Take this boy, he looks very capable.”
But the other pale wizard pointed firmly at Brown’s sister, “No, I want a maid.”
The lightning wizard was helpless, “There are too few things a maid can do.”
The pale wizard was even more determined, “What do you know, the maid represents justice.”
The lightning wizard shook his head but did not refute, and actually agreed with the pale wizard’s decision.
Brown’s face immediately became paler than the pale wizard.
Is he going to be abandoned?
Brown looked at his sister helplessly.
Sister, please tell me! Let them take me away and leave you behind!
Come on, you love me so much, don’t you always give me the good things? Come
on, let them take me away, and when I become a wizard, I will come to pick you up to live a good life! But the girl who always took care of her brother
just lowered her head at this time, and kept rubbing the corners of her clothes with her hands.
Is the sister actually wavering ! ? Brown couldn’t believe it. He squatted silently, as if he was desperate. The girl saw her brother squatting in despair from the corner of her eye , and finally made up her mind. She opened her mouth tremblingly, and her voice was full of attachment . ”Big, big … My sister is angry, so she won’t give me this chance. He walked forward expressionlessly. How much strength can a poor boy have? Brown propped himself up, panting, looking ahead with hopeful eyes, watching the wizard quietly throughout the whole process. ”My lord, I’m the only one now.” The pale wizard covered his nostrils with his fingers, as if Brown was emitting some sour smell. ”Haha, I came out to recruit apprentices, but I didn’t expect to see a beast.” The lightning wizard did not make any comments. The two of them turned around and walked back to the carriage, but did not stop Brown from taking the initiative to get into the carriage with the children. … Memories emerged one after another, and the sister who had been shattered by him actually appeared in front of him again with a complete face. ”This is an illusion.” Brown told himself, “My sister can’t be alive. After so many years, her ghost can’t come to me.” He felt that he was no longer the little boy who could only shrink in his sister’s arms. It’s just an illusion, and you still want to scare him to death? Brown raised his head, looked straight at his sister’s face, and waved his fist. ”I’m not afraid of you, let’s see what else you can do?” His sister smiled. Yes, how could the lips be damaged? Looking at the red lips, Brown waved his fist again. A hand caught Brown’s fist steadily. Brown raised his head and saw Sid standing in front of him, staring at him coldly. Sure enough, it was all an illusion just now! It must be an illusion that Lord Sid gave me to test me, so the small scented beads that Lord Sid gave me would not work. ”Sir!” Brown cracked his mouth, “Have I passed your test?” (End of this chapter)
