Diary of a Dead Wizard - Chapter 987
Chapter 973 Is It You
Fiona was almost at her limit after soaking in the turbid liquid.
The person who took over the shift patted her shoulder, indicating that she should go up.
Fiona took a last look at the behemoth in front of her, handed the pipe equipment in her hand to her successor, and then quickly floated up.
As soon as she came out of the water, two wizard apprentices came forward respectfully and handed over two blankets.
As soon as the two blankets were unfolded, densely packed leech-like insects were revealed.
Fiona frowned slightly. Even though she had experienced it several times, she still didn’t like the feeling of being crawled on by these insects and absorbing moisture.
But she had to do it this way. Other ways of wiping and bathing could not recycle the liquid on the body without causing pollution.
Fiona closed her eyes and let the two apprentices wrap the towel around her front and back.
In an instant, the mouths of hundreds of leeches on the towel began to suck her body.
Fiona closed her eyes and tried to ignore the tingling and numbness coming from her body.
Ten minutes later, the two apprentices took away the blanket. All the bugs hanging on it had become fatter, and Fiona was completely clean.
She then went to change her clothes.
The wizard apprentice quickly hung up the blanket, and then carefully used tweezers to pick up the white and fat bugs one by one and put them into the crucible.
When the crucible was full of bugs, another person began to heat the crucible with natural fire. The bugs inside soon began to melt like butter. From a pot of wriggling bugs to a pot of milky yellow liquid. There was also a thin coat of bugs floating on it.
The wizard apprentice used a glass stirring rod to break up the thin coat. Finally, the liquid in the crucible became more turbid.
After the liquid cooled slightly, they poured the liquid back into the pool where Fiona had just dived.
This avoided the turbid liquid in the pool from being wasted to the greatest extent.
At this time, Fiona had come to the second floor and reported the situation to Murridge.
“The queen is not in good condition. I’m afraid she won’t be able to lay eggs in the short term.”
Murrich’s two telescope-like eyes bulged out and retracted.
“The queen may be regaining consciousness.” He kept turning the ink pen in his hand, letting the ink inside splash onto the table. “We need more faceless people. At least one complete one.”
Fiona immediately suggested, “The man we saw with the wizard Thor last time is probably a faceless man. He seems to know me. I can go and lure him over.”
Murrich smacked his lips. “What a pity. You don’t know that he is just the soul of a faceless man, occupying a good container to move around. The souls of faceless people are even rarer, but they are of no use to our experiment.” Fiona lowered her head, not
hiding the disgust on her face, “But maybe he knows the whereabouts of other faceless people.”
“It’s a pity that faceless people rarely contact each other, and most of them are alone.”
“Then we can give it a try.”
“Oh, Fiona, you know, he is Thor’s man. The Speaker has not given up on winning over Thor.”
Fiona raised her head again and said stubbornly: “What the Speaker needs is Thor the Wizard, not his slave. If Thor the Wizard has any dissatisfaction, we can compensate him. If he is still not satisfied, I can let him do whatever he wants.”
Murich threw the feather pen in his hand on the table and leaned back in his chair. “Why do you have to do this? Fiona, we can also look for him somewhere else.”
Fiona clenched her fists. “I don’t want to let any faceless man go. You know, they killed my father!”
Murich sighed, “It’s up to you. After all, you are the most suitable person to cultivate insect mothers and insect eggs.”
With permission, Fiona immediately sent people to investigate the whereabouts of Thor and Agu.
They couldn’t find Thor, and as a result, they couldn’t find Agu’s whereabouts either.
After smashing a table, Fiona decided to go find Agu herself.
After spending several days waiting outside Byron’s house, Fiona finally waited for Agu who was out alone.
She immediately stepped forward and took the initiative to say, “Have we met before?”
Agu was stunned when he saw Fiona, then turned around and wanted to avoid her.
But Fiona stepped sideways and blocked Agu again.
“You called out my name the last time we met. Why are you pretending not to know me now? I checked. You and Wizard Byron came to Iskaper a year ago, but you had never been to Olga before, and you had never seen me before. I think the connection between me and the Faceless Man should be only that one thing, so I came to talk to you.” Fiona stopped Agu, and a series of words came out of her mouth, not giving Agu a chance to escape.
Agu had no choice but to stand still. “Fiona, I have to complete the task assigned by the master. Let’s talk later.”
Fiona finally stepped aside when she heard that it was Thor’s instruction
. Agu quickly lowered his head and walked around her, looking as if he couldn’t bear to look directly at her.
Although Fiona stepped aside, she immediately followed behind.
On the second floor of the villa, Thor left the window, “She has been waiting outside for so many days, her patience should have run out, let Agu take her for a walk.”
Penny fell on Thor’s shoulder, “Brother Thor, you actually let Agu find Fiona, aren’t you afraid that he will be too excited to see his daughter and tell everything?”
Thor was not worried at all, “They know what we want to do, and we also know what they want to do. Agu won’t tell it, and it doesn’t matter if he does. Besides, Agu also needs an opportunity to confront Fiona.”
“Fiona was only five years old when she followed Agu, and they didn’t separate until they were fifteen. Normally speaking, Agu should be the father in Fiona’s memory. And Agu obviously cares about his daughter very much. According to the current situation, we will have a conflict sooner
or later… Let Agu choose for himself.” Agu, who was responsible for the task and decision, walked around outside for a few times and completed the so-called task assigned by Thor. Finally, he was pulled back to the underground base where they first met that night by Fiona.
“Actually, you came to me to find the Faceless Man, right? Are you short of materials for your experiment again?” Walking in the underground base, Agu was the first to break the silence.
“You are also a Faceless Man, right? I do want to know the whereabouts of other Faceless Men through you, but if you don’t want to tell me, I can’t do anything to you, after all, you are his servant.” Fiona continued to lead Agu deeper into the base, and it was a depth that Agu had not entered the last time he came.
At the entrance of the base, there were still a few wizards and apprentices, but the further you went inside, the fewer people there were.
Agu was not afraid that Fiona would set a trap for him. Now Thor was not far away from him. As the consciousness sent in the black pages of the diary, he sent a simple signal to Thor.
When Fiona first watched their whereabouts, Thor discovered her movements and deliberately waited for a few days before Agu appeared.
If Fiona really had something important to find Agu, she should be very anxious now, and the possibility of taking a detour was even smaller.
So before Agu showed up on purpose, Thor had already agreed with Agu that if there was any danger, he would immediately call Thor to take back the diary.
But before Agu followed Fiona away, he had already decided that he would not inform Thor unless it was absolutely necessary.
Agu didn’t speak again until the two of them had walked to a deserted place. This time, he mustered up his courage because he knew that as long as he spoke, he would have to face the old incident from many years ago.
“If you don’t have to know about the Faceless Man, then what do you want to know by looking for me?”
Fiona stopped in front of a white warehouse, turned around to face Agu, her mouth straight, her eyes half-squinted, “I want to know, were you the one who killed my father back then?”
