Emperor Overlord is the longest book that Xiao Sheng has ever written, and it is also the most difficult book. The structure of the whole book is huge, there are too many characters, and the story, characters, and settings that support the whole book are not satisfactory.

There are many places where the handling is beyond Xiao Sheng’s control. Just as some brothers have said, he has run out of ideas.

In many places in this book, Xiao Sheng indeed did not grasp the point well and the writing was not satisfactory.

But, in these ten years, Xiao Sheng tried hard to write the story he wanted in his heart, tried hard to shape the Li Qiye in my mind, and tried hard to convey the ideals that I uphold.

For ten years, I have never given up and just wanted to hold on to the end. In these ten years, there have been laughter and pain, times when my creative ideas have surged, and times when I have been scratching my head…

For ten years, many brothers and sisters have always been with me and never left me, for which I am very grateful. As for the parts that were not written well, it is because I am not capable enough. I hope I can do better in the next book.

I have spent ten years writing The Emperor. I hope that during these ten years, The Emperor is not just a book, but also a part of my brothers and sisters’ lives.
